Sustainability is the capacity to endure. It is the potential of our population to match the infinite want of natural resources to the limited supply that actually exists. At Aquanomix, we believe you should never waste anything, like water, that can be used again. We all have to have water to survive. Smarter water use today is the solution for a greener tomorrow.
The AX Water Management Center can impact up to 13 LEED points...
Chose a rating system below to see how.
LEED Update: the USGBC has released a draft of the next version of LEED rating systems. The first public comment period will run to December 31, 2010. The following changes and additions can be impacted by the AX Water Management System.
-The two stormwater credits from LEED 2009 have been rolled into one credit, Rainwater Management. The credit now describes rainwater as a resource, instead of stormwater as a management problem.
-A new WE credit, Cooling Tower Makeup Water, calls for a set of measures to conserve water used for cooling tower makeup while controlling microbes, corrosion, and scale in the condenser water system.
-
A new IEQ credit, Advanced Water Metering and Reporting, adds a requirement that meters and submeters be able to report data remotely, and be part of a management system that tracks performance and generates alerts for leaks or operational abnormalities.
The AX Water Management Center positively impacts stormwater management.
-Rainwater harvesting can be incorporated as an essential component of site stormwater management plans
-Rainwater harvesting significantly reduces stormwater runoff
-By using rainwater as an alternate water source, owners realize:
-an attractive return on investment
-decreased utilities operating expenses and utility fee offsets
-reduced site stormwater management construction and maintenance costs
-a redundant water supply
